LCA's comment was relating to the constructiveness of your post. Even you should be able to admit that your post doesn't do anything to help him out. He had observations of vehicles on the lot with different heights and was curious which packages, options, etc increased or decreased height.

In regards to LCA's observations on vehicle heights, if I ever decide to order an F350, I'm going to be sure that I test drive a similarly equipped model and make sure it fits in my garage. From what I've been reading, I'll have about a 1/4 inch to spare.

Flannel hit the nail on the head. These truck's height are right at the average garage door so every 1/4" counts when trying to figure out if it'll fit or not. At the house, I can park in the driveway if I can't get into my garage but at work, I have no choice but to park in the parking garage that has 96" clearance for the first two levels, then only 84" clearance for the next 3 levels. The problem is I want to order a MY19 truck so I really can't test drive over to my garage nor to my work garage and see if it fits. Subtle height differences may the difference for a new SD being a pleasure to a pain.

I wouldn’t even hesitate to lower the rear end 2 inches by swapping blocks. I did it to mine and there isn’t much to it. If the dealer wants to make a fuss about it, i’d buy the shorter blocks somewhere else and do the swap later. They’d have to be pretty low to not warranty it in my opinion, but I guess they reserve the right.

Actually the dealer suggested it to me. That's not the issue. The issue I'm thinking about is if my rear end would be lower than my front end when I'm towing. Also the dealer didn't offer the information about voiding the warranty until after I asked about it. I wouldn't of known to ask the question about a dealer altering my truck and voiding the warranty before I even bought it, had I not read about it in this forum. I now know it's an option though and I can exercise it later if I need to.
