56 Flip Hood

For you that have flipped your hoods, What are you using on your cowl where the hood meets the cowl. In MidFifty’s catalog it saws don’t use the original cowl lacing.

I didn't put anything on the cowl but did put stick on cowl lacing to the underside of the hood..

Did you just use rubber lacing John?

I did , 3/16" X 3/8" with a 3M sticky backing comes in 8 foot length. I also put clear film on the cowl to protect the paint when the hood opens. It has a tendency to scrape near the outer edges of that cowl ridge..

I’ve got your measurements John. I bought a Kit so I can see what your measurements depict. Then I’ll make my own next time.
