I went with the higher cost option for my super cab Westin 20-3930 because it was made with stainless steel and I liked the lower steps (mounting brackets are painted regular steel)
Same as above. Had N-fabs on my last super duty and loved them, but these offer much better protection.
R1. Looking great. How did you attach/mount the extended part of the of the running boards onto the truck?
I’m using the cab length boards with F150 bracket. Didn’t think it was possible with the extended version. I’ll see if I can order those extensions!
So you guys that have raised the bars with 150 brackets, it looks great, but it also looks like there is no room for a pair of size 13 boots between the bottom of the door and the step, Is there more room than it looks like?

F250Ninja- I welded a drop tab on the rear bracket. Now it mounts up to original spot and is just as strong.
I had Amp Research power boards on my last truck and I will get them again on my next (I'm between vehicles right now) They are expensive but you can't beat the look pretty much unnoticeable when tucked up and extend when you open the door. They operate much faster than the factory Ford boards as well.
The Ford power steps are from Amp Research. How much faster are the aftermarket version than the Ford OEM version?
I'm quite pleased with my factory powered steps. They come down further than the OEM fixed steps. Plus, I think they make the truck look taller when they are tucked up under the cab. I think the argument that the fixed steps prevent door dings is over rated. But if you really think that's the case you can force the powered steps to remain in the down position while the vehicle is parked.
How rough is the tread on those? worried about kids ripping a knee open - or my clumsy *** too I guess
They are rough, I would not want to dive on them but, they are not sharp. I'm frequently on them barefoot with no problems. (actually feels good if you've been in boots all day) Also, they're great for getting sand/dirt off your shoes. Probably snow as well but we don't get that here.
I swapped the extended steps onto my truck. They are a completely different step, and afaik you cannot modify the 'short' step by adding the extension.
