Side Pipe Info Wanted

I am trying to find out more about the Side Pipes on this truck. I want some like it to go on my 1949 F1. I know many don't like them but I do. The only ones I can find have the shields on them.

There's a good reason for that...but if you really want them why don't you just have a muffler shop bend up some tubing for you?

What Charlie said. I know a very pretty lady who wears a permanent burn scar on the back of her leg, the result of an unprotected exhaust pipe.

Another thought just came to mind...if you have the pipes made then you can make them out of stainless. Polished stainless will still be looking good long after that Chinese chrome will have rusted away.
As Kevin said...try ebay, maybe they have stainless as well.

Lake pipes don't have any mufflers in them and pipes bent up at a muffler shop wouldn't have any either so that's not any help but thank you anyway

I don't think we should talk about Denny's sins. First Ride is such an amazing truck, we don't want to taint it with his fall to the dark side.

Summit and Jeg's sell mandrel bent tubing in various sizes and materials including stainless. If you can weld it wouldn't be too hard to make a set. Pretty much how I make all my exhaust systems.

I had a set of patriot side pipes on my panel the PO installed. He had removed the running boards to install them. Even though they were shielded I still burnt my legs getting out.
