Nice. Changes the whole look of that front end.

Sure does change the look ... makes speakerfritz's dually look like a SWR ... lol. Is the hood simply cosmetic or is it functional too?

Do you have plans to put something in the scoops? I put a thick (24 Mesh T316 Stainless .014" Wire Dia.)stainless steel screen mesh in mine. I do have some extra if you are interested. I am going to be away from home starting tomorrow through March 9th but can get some to you when I return

I may be alone here, but that just doesn't look right. It's a good thing we all have our own opinion.

I think those hoods look cool, but only on certain trucks. I don't think my regular cab would look good with one. Can't wait to see how yours turns out. The picture you posted of the charcoal colored truck looks really good.

Mine was out of necessity - had a tree branch wreck my stock hood - the picture really doesn’t do it justice - but as folks have said - everyone has their own taste - no one is right, no one is wrong

I like it. I seen one in person. I think the bug deflector does not go with the look though.

do I need to get a hardware kit? Does it come with one? Or is the idea to reuse old hardware?

With the cost of the thing I ordered one, I wasn’t taking any chances - make sure you look at what you get, my pisser kit didn’t come - they were pretty nice though, I called and they shipped one out. It was a few weeks later as I had the hood shipped to the body shop that was painting it.

I had it on without the bug deflector for a while - maybe it’s me but it looked like it ‘needed something’. Maybe it’s just the color of my truck or maybe it’s just this antique brain because I’ve always had a bug deflector on my ‘04 and on this truck. When this one came back from the body shop I drove it for a while then put the bug deflector on and thought it looked better. Thought it needed a definitive transition between the hood and grill.
