Feel free to bounce some ideas off me if you need to Rich. I'm not doing much of anything and working on a solvable problem might be nice for a change.

Evening All!

What a day! The coupler turned in to a nightmare to get just right. All day long to make it work perfectly. ...but it's in and the alignment is as good as it's going to get. It's REALLY hard to make something round without a lathe.
Dave. Sorry to hear about your Dad. We'll be thinking of him.

Looking good Alan.

Thanks for the well wishes. It's something that we've known was coming but it's never easy when it does.

Dave I hope all goes well with your dad. As far as him being in the nursing home, look at it this way, that gives your mom and the rest of the family a chance to catch up and catch your breath. Alan that looks great...as always.

Well the red Bronco lives again and runs down steep hills hopefully a lot more reliable. Yes it sounded so simple, until the Mr Gasket 2bbl to 4bbl adapter had a big flaw in its design and that caused a BIG vacum leak. So after sourcing a Ford EGR plate I filled the gap and got it all put together. Also has some carb work over 101 from my race car tuning neighbor. So it was quicker and way cheaper than the TBI swap.

Even though she's been worn out at the end of the day, she is sleeping better than she has in a very long time.

Rich - I should have remembered about the EGR plate. Now get out there and test hop it.

Thanks for the offer to help figure it out. Since I got the cheap 20 $ Mr Gasket adapter plate...no wonder it did not work. Moroso had a 100$ one that I bet fits like a champ with out jumping thru hoops and stacking things up.. Using that EGR plate gave me a power brake port back that I lost when I went from a MC2150 to a MC2100 carb.

I took it out back and across the test run creek crossing and parked one tire on a big rock to get some lay over on it, it ran like a champ. I squeaked by as far a hood clearance.

Ok boys the March thread lives one more time (thanks Pat) so here is the APRIL thread link, pack up and come on over. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...bs-thread.html
