Changes in FTE #2...

Well, thanks to the powers that be! Just got on and the "Post New Thread" and "Edit" features seem to be more "user friendly." Mine eye can see better now...Thanks!

Not too sure about the rest of it..........yet.

Your thoughts?

Like I told Rich, I'm a creature of habit and I don't like change. Personally, I'm not a fan of it but I guess I'll get used to it.

I might muddle thru the reply part, but the pic attachment part HAS to be put back to the old way, to much of a PITA.

I've been having problems going to a thread and just having the title show up. None of the posts. And this just started after this so called upgrade.
I wonder if some of these people have ever heard of the KISS method. (KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID).
Maybe this is the best way to describe it.

Haven''t tried the other stuff yet...the pic attachment in particular, the similes have me confused, the "black and white-edness" of the extra goo-gahs and whatnots have me baffled, too.

Not too much a fan of change in format here - I was use to knowing how all the old stuff worked!! I don't understand the change when the old format was working so well.

Most of us old guard folks here are over 50, 60, 70.....and liked the old way. The young pups may like it (the changes) as they're more computer literate, but by and large, they're the ones asking questions.
I like the old way better.
But at least the reply and "Go Advanced" is easier to see!

Agreed, Rich....nonononononononononono!

The reply from Tim L at IB relied on Wed 2/28, 11:37 PM "We are working on it".

So see the "contact us" and send a response to IB via an email stating your displeasure about the recent changes and even offer off up a idea, can get you some sort of reply. A reply... beats NO reply.

Are you talking about uploading multiple pictures simultaneously? I'm not trying to argue or anything just trying to understand the challenge.

I did my part. Sent a request for the return of the old way. Hopefully everyone else will do the same.

At least for me when I wanted to attach a pic I hit the go advanced button then attachment button and a small box with up to 5 (?) attachment area boxes would come up in the L/H corner and I attached them one after the other, then hit up load ONCE. The new way does not have that option, or I am just way to computer challenged to figure it out.

I do not like it so much.....

Totally understand. Try this instead; when you get to your folder to select your uploads hold the CTRL key on your keyboard, then select all of the photos you want to upload, click Open then click Upload. The photos attached here are borrowed from Google Images using this method. Actually a little easier than browsing 5 separate times.

I am on (FTE) from a lap top at the house and a PC at work...and I have how and where the pics are located on each device down pat and the VERY EASY way to load them has worked for YEARS and a bunch of posts for me. Now it does not, like I said I am very computer challenged.

I read just what you posted and it might as well be in Swahili, remember I am VERY computer challenged. It is not like I have all my pics in one folder either, my terabit external drive is full of pics and diagrams. In all reality it might that simple to do, just not for me. I appreciate you trying to explain it very much. I will have to get my computer guy to walk me thru it.
