Good morning guys. Well, this day has started off like crap. Blowing white crap this morning, and when I went to turn into a street in Blair, the truck hit a huge patch of ice under the white crap, slid sideways, and the left front rim hit a sewer drain in the curb, and wasted the rim. It's still holding air for the moment, but, it ripped a chunk away from the edge of the rim, exposing the edge of the tire. So, I'm going to have to call the salvage yards and try and find another f***ing rim. THIS is why I hate winter.
Morning Pat...all of 'Braska...and...those who visit. Pat...tough luck about the rim...I'm sure my buddy could fix you up. Fortunately...you were able to make it to work.
Morning pissed off Pat and the the rest of 'braska and friends who visit here! Sorry about the truck rim, could have been a lot worse if there had been another vehicle coming towards you, eh? So when is spring again?
Morning Ken. Going to be fun changing that tire in this weather. I'm going to go out and noon, and see if its flat. I'll be amazed if its not.
My guess is that being a 12 year old truck...that spare isn't coming down easily. Maybe you should sign up for AAA this morning and call them after lunch...bingo...problem solved!!!

I check the spare every few months for tire pressure, no problem getting it down.

Sounds more like **** pour street construction work if the edge of a sewer drain is sticking up or out that much. And possibly driver error
Jim, its a storm drain opening in the curb. And, I wasn't going fast at all. I should have straightened out the wheels, it would have just bounced over the curb, but, I didn't think of it in time.
