Third brake light/cargo light sockets

Hello all my third brake light socket is burnt out the connector is loose the cargo light sockets are a bit brown theyre a little Loose as well.
I took it to a guy that does a lot of custom studf he said he didn't really know what to do with it. His suggestion was to file the connectors inside get rid of any corrosion and then sueeze the sockets with needle-nose pliers to tighten the connection.
Ideally I would find a complete replacement wire harness for an affordable price but haven't been able to. I don't even know if anyone even carries anyat all so I've been looking at sockets I can't find any direct matches. local parts stores don't have any that would match. I figure I could jerryrig something but I'm kind of thrown off by one of the cargo sockets connecting through to the other. Does anybody know and can link to me sockets that would fit, or a new harness I really don't want to upgrade to an LED kit I think they look gross and I just gave my light assembly a facelift and it looks brand new.

I would replace the connectors by soldering in and heat shrinking new ones. It is typical of these lamps to melt housings and sockets. There should be a socket at most stores that could be used. I never actually looked though. I suppose they might be too small.

It's looking more and more like these lights are biting the dust. I am currently working on an idea to create an LED panel and LED bulbs for the cargo lights, to repair a melted unit, but I've not found anything that I'm happy with the result of yet. See this thread.

I always look in Bronco Graveyard for this type of thing. I don't recall the year you said, but here's a couple:
https://shop.broncograveyard.com/09-...ctinfo/649595/ Looks just like my '95.
https://shop.broncograveyard.com/198...uctinfo/34995/ but does not appear to have the light assembly. Search around. Good luck.

I don't get why one isn't readily available given how common this problem seems. You can find every random connector but not that. On my day off I will take my lens and light and walk every parts store something is bound to be able to work.

The factory bulb sockets are some of the cheesiest I think I've ever seen. I found some similar at Oreilly and Advance, but they are for 194 bulbs.
