Ordering question

Tried to order truck today.

Snow plow prep/camper tow package kicked the aux switches out, tried it several ways and Ford won't allow it, anyone else have aux switches with plow prep/camper package?

Also required 3rd brake light camera with camper package.

STX is looking to be the same price as a XLT.

Would like to get to the bottom of this as I know I only have a couple days left to get a '18 ordered.

I have a '17 with plow/camper pkg and aux switches. The switches were a stand alone upgrade. Did not require camera with camper pkg.
It looks like a few things have changed in '18.

I wonder if the AUX switches comes with the Snow Plow/Camper package. I will check tomorow and report back if no one else has answered it by then.

I have the switches, snow plow, no camper.
2018 ordered and received.
Something I ordered mandated the snow plow pkg, not sure which option.

The first issue probably has something to do with alternator dependencies. Certainly no restriction with that combo. What engine? There is a chart in ordering guide that explains the base computer selected alternator based on electrical options to include both snowplow and upfitter switches.

Not sure on CHMSL camera. Are you getting ultimate tow camera?

So the dealer entering this could not figure it out? When ordering a truck I would go out of my way and find someone in fleet/commercial department that is familiar with them to help you if possible.

Truck is F-350 gas crew, SYNC 3 radio, believe it does require ultimate tow camera.

The guy that entered the order does all of the ordering.

Did get the big alt.

OK, that combo would require the largest alternator (67E, Extra, Extra heavy duty), Verify he had checked that and not just 67D.

Yes, SYNC 3 in XL does force UT camera system , which would also force CHMSL camera

My 17 has the switches, snow plow and camper package. But I did go for the XXHD alternator and added dual batteries.

I know ordering the 3.55 with electronic locker will force the snow plow prep package but allows the upfitter switches.

Go to "Build and Price" on the Ford truck web site, print out the configuration you have chosen, and take it to the dealer.

Yes, it requires any one of the optional HD suspension packages, but only on 6.7 PSD, he is ordering 6.2. 3.55 not even available on 6.2

Yah I did that, just because it allows you to check boxes online doesn't mean that is how it really works...

For 2017 & 2018 trucks, Upfitter switches only tied to having extra heavy duty alternator. Re-check with your dealer again.

So I should assume because my Window Sticker on the 2017 XLT I just purchased says Extra Extra Heavy Duty Alternator that I can put some loads on the upfitter switches? LOL - I read in the owners man that the first 4 switches are like 25A and the last two are 40A is that correct?

Would a winch run off of 40A?
What loads are under 25A?

What have you guys wired into your upfitter switches?
