I'm up for it; do you like the wheels by chance?

Oh yeah, those are Clarks, making the truck a 41/42. I’m committed to finding a set of those rim clamps for a guy in Norway of all places. I looked for the M16 in the F-600 posting and couldn’t find it on eBay. Stu

You can see the roof in the first picture and just one headlight, fender and a bit of the grill in the third picture. If you look at the guys other stuff for sale, he has one for sale but not the one lurking with the F600

Yes, a '42: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...chassis-truck/

What do you have to say about the T9 transmission?

Oh sure, I did see that one. It’s an M15 like I believe is the pretty one you posted. Stu

Edit - it is a M16 but without fender extensions. As for the T9, everybody used them. Probably same Timken at the rear too. Stu

With “help” like this from you and your friend Gary, I’m fighting back a real affection for the big Ms. Have lurked the Studebaker sites for years. Stu

And I'm late to the party as usual....been orking on my tonner pickup's brakes this morning. Yes the Ms are really cool trucks. Anybody know if all the m series fenders are the same? I think they interchange diagonally across the vehicle, but do the M-15/M-16 type have a larger fender cutout than the smaller trucks? I'm planning on going to the 80 acre Portland swap meet in early April. The side not photographed on the CL ad shows some pretty rough fenders (big surprise). They are good enough for a junkyard dog with a bit of pounding, but jic I see some.

Stu, do you have dimensions for these trucks, like track width and overall length?

My first car was a '64 Studebaker so I have a soft spot for them.

The big trucks have larger cutouts on the fenders than the M5 pickup.
The fenders are the same front and back on the same side.

I failed, Gary. Sorry. I have the specs chart for the M1, and for all the later R Series trucks but guess I never had the chart for the big M Series models. Stu
