Black rims?

Yay....if you paint them correctly.
If you don't they will be peeling/flaking in no time. In which case they are gonna look like a broke high school kid rattle canned them with the cheapest paint he found on his old man's workbench shelf, sprayed in the backyard and cut the grass around them while they dried...or something like that.
But, the shiny wheels do connect with the chrome... good looking truck either way!

Nay on those particular rims being black. Can't explain why, just does not look right to me.
If you do black them (or get others), how about the same for the bumpers and grill? That is also clashing when I look at the truck. The rest of the chrome goes with the rims. I'm old-school on chrome, but appreciate a complete blackout job.
ETA: And just spotted the toolbox. Would need to change that to black diamond plate to make me happy. Good thing you don't have to make me happy though, enjoy the truck and make it yours the way you want.
EETA: And black out the fender emblem. More phone editing fun, wonder what it would look like then...

if it were me i would color match the rims with the truck. i like the look of a color matched truck. chrome and black rims are in my opinion "overused" and something different always stands out more

I don’t want to paint the times or plasti dip them. Looking at some xd rims of a -44 offset.. I want to paint the truck black maybe midnight blue later on though.. would black 08 mirrors look goofy with the paint job it has now??? I would black out a lot of things but this paint job doesn’t really allow the flow other than chrome things... thanks fir the comments btw

i agree, normally i like painted mirrors, but on these trucks they look bad. Painted door handles are a must, i hate all the tacky stick on chrome mods people do. Thats my taste. I like a clean look

I think you should paint the center part of the wheels black and leave the rim part chrome. Then black mirrors and grill. That should tie everything together pretty good. As far as painting the truck goes.... you have one of the most unique paint jobs out there. If we were to meet you on the hwy we'd definitely know it's you (that may be a good thing or a bad thing lol). You have a great looking truck. Definitely keep us posted on what you decide to do. Do your emblems say F450?
