Smile My inspiration! Anyone seen this truck?

A couple of years ago I started to restore my Grandpas truck. Something that inspired me was seeing the Truck below on the Internet. At the time I "stole" the picture but did not try to find its location or history. Since that time I have not been able to locate any matching images online. It appears that the truck is Licensed in Virginia. Any chance any of you guys have seen this Truck during your travels, adventures, or truck shows

I have not seen it- but it sure is a beauty. We used one just like that to haul wooden crates of returned soft drink bottles at my uncles grocery store when I was much younger.

Haven't seen it either -- think I'd remember it, it's such a nice-looking example. But I'll keep and eye out now....

Gosh, what year was it? Probably 10, no, gotta be more years ago, before digital and cell phone cameras, there was the brother (sister?) of this truck for sale at the Knoxville F-100 Nationals. Black, F-350 Express, except it was a ‘54. Somewhere I’ve got Walgreens “1 hour or less” (remember them?) prints in a drawer. I’ll see if I can find them. Stu

I remember those prints from Walgreens well Stu! In fact I have multiple totes full of family pictures! My 3 kids dig into them every so often to reminisce It is awesome that you would have any memory of this truck let alone pictures. Hope you don't have a lot a drawers in you house I know what it's like looking for that "one" picture. You can waist a lot of time. Been there, done that Thanks!

Well it was the same except for being a ‘54. I remember the grille and deep dished 53/54 style single wheels. But it sure was impressive. Now which drawer would that be in? Stu

Here it is. Maybe Bob Jones or one of the Photoshop wizards can make it into a 1955 by changing the grille, and by dressing it with your new SRW 19.5s.

If these were 48-52s, the running boards alone on both trucks would justify the seller’s asking price. Gotta be harder yet to find a good set of the 53-56 Express long boards. Stu

Thanks Stu, you always come through for me! I'm sure the running boards would be a tough find. I am so lucky mine are in excellent shape. Those mirrors do the truck no Justice either. They are U.G.L.Y Just curious.....Do you remember what they were asking for the Truck?

Not that specific truck but in years past there was a stock, what appeared to be original that showed up at the annual Fender's Tractor Show near Sweetwater, TN. It was a six cylinder. It was not a show truck and appeared like it may have had a few bails of hay and sacks of feed in the bed but that thing appeared to be a time capsule, extremely nice. Oh, and it did have side racks.

No sir. It was parked next to the swap meet area with nobody there with it. I was an admirer, but not a customer. And my pictures aren’t clear enough to see the phone number. I wonder if other guys who are regulars at the F100 Nationals might have seen it and know who the seller was. Stu

I like the monkey faces, but let this be a lesson to folk. Don't put a monkey face grill on a 53-56. Dang!

If this is the show you're referring to: How many years was the F100 Super Nationals swap meet/show held in Knoxville?

I was there in 2008 when it was held at the zoo parking lot. I took pics of every truck, this truck wasn't there.
