C6 transmsion conversion

converting 75 Highboy with 428 FE. I would like to keep the divorced transfer case. I found 73 390 4x2 parts truck with a C6. Should just bolt in with exception of driveshafts, rebuilding the C6, changing out the flywheel to flex plate.
One thing I'm concerned about is on my T19 transmission currently in the truck the Shifter for the transfer case lever is bolted to the transmission.
On the C6 out of the 2 wheel drive doner truck, does it have a place to mount the shifter lever to? I looked at pics of C6 online and don't see anything i can bolt too?
Is this c6 out of 4x2 going to be too?

You'll need a C6 from another Highboy to get the transfer case shifter mount as far as I know. I believe the 2wd tailshaft and housing are slightly longer than the HB C6 as well. If you find a trashed HB C6 you can swap the tailshaft and housing into any C6, but it requires a full teardown of both transmissions.

Another option is to fab up a transfer case shifter mount, I know there are a few people who have done that on here.

I just heard that might be able to change the gearing in th c6 hence beeter highway speeds lower RPM. Gearvendor for the transfer case is 3100$. Since im rebuilding the C6,changing the tailhousing might just go ahead and change the planetary gearing in the C6.
I heard there are kits for that mod. If so where?

I believe what your thinking of is the wide ratio gear set for the c6.
It's a lower 1st. and 2nd gear from the e4od but you retain the same ratio 3rd. gear.

Thanks for pic C6 HB tranny. Also all the knowledge passed down.
After much thought: NV4500,C6 from 4x2 downer truck plus expensive Gear-vendor and lastly AOD.
Searched EBay, local salvage yards wasn’t able to locate diner HB C6.
Ran cost spreadsheat for each tranny conversion.
I feel cost wise I’m going with AOD. I stay true to Ford name and the HB divorced tranny. I get my highway cruising speeds with out winding up that 428 CJ too hard.
