47 Ford cab

Hello.
Does anyone know if the cab of the 47 Ford pickup is the same size as the 47 Ford 1.5T flatbed truck?
Or, is there another year model cab that would work on the 47 Ford 1.5T flatbed?

One thing to keep in mind is the fenders look the same as pickup fenders and will bolt up, but the big trucks have a larger wheel opening. Many have failed to notice this and bought some at a swap meet that didn't work out. Where are you located? And of course we all like pictures.

The fenders are usable so I will reuse those. I just need a cab. I'm located in Deridder, La.

Flathead V8. It is currently the best part of the truck. I have not yet determined what type of transmission but most likely 4spd manual.

Nice score. Everthing 40s' I've seen in the deep south the last few years that's left is mostly lace rust that dissolves if you touch it.

My father purchased in Oklahoma in 1999. He passed away in 2014. I drove to Oklahoma and hauled it down to Louisiana.
The usual rust spots are on it: lower part of door and lower cab corners. The worst rust is the floorboard. It is nearly 80% gone.

I have a couple of cabs from here in rainy Western Washington with floors that are 20% intact. I'm an optomist. Your truck will have a Warner T-9 4 speed 'crash box'. If you are familiar with double clutching you will find it to be a very nice tranny. I like them.

Then you're gonna have a blast with your new jailbar truck! There are a few of us here that like the bigger trucks. Stick around and you'll know us. Hopefully we can be of some assistance with your new old truck.

What condition is your cab in? If I can get one with at least the floorboard intact I would be a happy camper.

I have a 47 truck cab we cut the roof off of. Gary got the jailbars and I've sold some stuff but it has nice gas tank, seat riser and floor, good cab corners, firewall. It was a low miles truck. Sadly it will all end up at the crusher someday because I'm too far from anyone who could use it.
