Although I don't consider it a major issue - most people understand the cheesy locks on consoles and glove boxes are not strong - I'm glad the video pointed the issue out. Ford advertises a locking console...it should actually lock and not be able to be effortlessly opened. Ford should apply a fix to all consoles. Sounds like a "new console top" is not going to solve the problem if they all do it. Need to check mine later.

Well, since the plastic door lock does nothing to stop 'em getting in, maybe the plastic console lock will...

Or not.

I actually thought it was a good video. He brought a sense of humor to it. I dont expect my console to keep out experienced thieves but I also don't expect it to come open when locked with a simple one finger push. Regardless of what you personally put in your console was everyone aware of the possibility of it opening that easy when locked? Personally I dont see a reason one why anyone on here would be negative to the guy. Just shows the class of some of the members on here.

Rant over....

I'm never one to turn my nose up at any information; that's why I read this forum in the first place. Yes, I went straight out to my truck and tested it - no issue here.
