2017 f250 6.2 Accidentally filled my truck with bad gas from my transfer tank mounted in the back got 2 miles down the street the truck started to shake and sputter then died and refused to crank back up had it towed to the local ford dealer and they will look at it in the morning. How bad could the damage to my truck actually be? Thanks
my opinion may be worthless but Ive seen several expamples of engines run on bad gas with no damage. ive seen draining the tank and filling with fresh gas solve all issues.
When you say bad gas do you know what was wrong with it? Was there water in it? How do you know it was bad?
I just kinda figured it’s bad it’s been in the transfer tank for a few months and the truck was completely fine before I filled it up and drove down the street
Did the gas have any ethanol? If so, it's most likely gonna be moisture in the fuel. Add fuel treatment and let it work through. Flush tank and lines at most.
I doubt there is anything wrong with it. Just drain the system and refill with fresh gas. I would look very carefully at what the dealer is doing if they claim something is wrong.

Plugged fuel filter? Do you have a filter on the tidy tank pump, cause you should especially if it's a steel tank. They don't do as well with gas as they do with diesel. Probably have to drain tank, new filter, clean out the tank amd re prime the fuel pump. Hope it's containable, and the filter protected everything.
Update: It was in fact bad gas dealer says simple flushing and cleaning of the tank will do the charm the bad part is the 400$ in labor cost to do that

400.00 is great on a potential $12,000 dollar fuel system repair.
