Sorry Dales77, NOT making fun, I promise. I was running into the same problem myself trying to find a decent, affordable bumper for my 92. My problem is I don't want just a bumper, I want a front end guard. We have a lot of deer and elk in the area I moved to about 2 years ago. I was wondering why "all" the cool trucks have these massive bumpers on them. I thought it must be some tiny P3NI$ thing or something like that. Then about 4 months after I moved in, WHAM! outta nowhere comes this pretty good sized buck, 200+ pounds I'd say. Hit him at 35 mph and messed up the front end of my '03.
All of that said, when I bought the '92 I definitely wanted to find a bumper for it so I started looking around. The one place I've found is Move Bumpers. Price is going to depend a little on what you want and expect, and you need to be able to weld or get a buddy to help with that part. The bottom line is they've got what they call the "Classic Front" bumper that starts at $395. It's basic, sure, but you can add features to it if you want too. Things like light holes, winch mounts, etc.
I haven't bought my bumper yet because it will still end up costing me over $1000 for the one I want. I'm just running around very carefully trying not to hit anything before I can afford it. Bottom line is, I can't vouch for their quality or customer service but it definitely an option I'm looking into.
I hope this helps you out, and if you go this route, post your comments, impressions, etc.
