Interior Refresh - Whats missing?

I am in the process of pulling all of the carpet, seats and headliner out of the 2001 Ex... Here is what I am planning on doing and want to make sure I am not missing anything stupid:

1. Carpet Deep Clean / Steam Clean (its nasty thanks to previous owners kids)
2. Sound Deadening - Dynamat / FatMat type on roof, floors, and door panels
3. Additional Carpet padding insulation in panels and doors
4. Rear mounted inverter and cell booster (there is a lot of room back there!)
5. fix broken mounting clips for rear panels.
6. LED conversion for all interior lights
7. Clean / Lube seat belts (still looking for a better way to fix these so they retract)
8. New Speakers

Is there a filter or anything i should replace on the rear AC?

There seem to be a lot of holes that show through to the ground that I am not sure what are for... I think i should plug / fill these?

Anything I am missing?

The holes are where the seats bolted in? Sounds like a fun project.

My recent "interior refresh" included prepping & refinishing all the seat frames.
It was considerable work, but well worth it.
If you search, you might run across OGF's recent carpet thread which may be helpful.

It looks like one of the seat bolts had been stripped out and they used a large class 8 bolt with a nut, and no washer...

Rear deck, some rust spots and crappy area that they patched to cover the bench seat bolts... I have second row captains chairs...

Front with carpet, then without, then with deadening material...

Before everyone gets in a tizzy, I know you don't have to cover the whole thing to quiet the metal resonance, but i had enough, and it will help with road noise and thermal...

And lastly, complete, roof and floor and headliner back in... and under hood.

Now for some questions...

On the passenger side, the trim piece that covers the rear AC looks like it has some plastic holders attached to the bottom of the window frame. Mine are all busted, any ideas on replacements?

When I unplugged the audio controls from the center console, my back speakers stopped working... How to I hot wire this thing so they work all the time without the panel attached?

Any idea where to get replacement Clear/Red combo front door courtesy light covers?

Thanks!

From what I have seen of the audio schematic, the radio feeds the rear audio console and that feeds the rear speakers. Front speakers are powered directly from the radio. I'm guessing so the back seat passengers can use the rear entertainment system it will turn off the rear speakers? You could just insert a couple of jumpers in the rear control panel connector but I see it mentions it has an Amplifier in the control panel?

Edit: Added info

Looks like if you unplug from the rear control and jumper pin 3 to 2, and 7 to 6 you would get your rear speakers working. But as you are driving 2 speakers (on each side) the rear volume will be lower than the front due to the amplifier not being plugged in.

2nd Edit:

The electrical diagram is a bit funky. It shows the neg speaker wires going to the amp and exiting as a pos speaker wire. Wires 5 & 12 from radio go to AMP as 3 & 7. Wires from radio 6 & 13 split and go to both AMP and Speakers. At any rate, the 1st edit should work with the control unplugged.

I can get you the piece under the window.

The audio control work around is well documented by myself and others in the Tech Folder. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...l#post17065338

I have at least one red/white combo courtesy light on my shelf that I don't need anymore since I switched to '10 door panels. There is also an eBay seller that has them.

Look under the rear A/C box and check the floor. They tend to rust out at the very back corner.
