Since the progress on my cab has again hit a stand still. I decided to set my odometer back to zero since my motors is a fresh rebuild. It took me a little fooling around to get it off the speedometer housing but got the clip off finally and removed the odometer. Resetting to Zero was fairly straightforward. I used this as my guide.
OBTW They are both the same size, just camera angle makes the look different.
Took my other speedometer apart to see what was wrong because the odometer wasn’t working. Different drive. The metal drive gear was loose from the tenth of a mile dial. Wonder if super glue will hold
super glue wont hold. to get the clip back on, just slowly, carefully, trial and error. Some small picks, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Be prepared to install and remove a few times until you get it just right that the dial is aligned right.
Not sure where you got the other odometer from. Super glue wont do any good. Even if it works, it will fail eventually. Just see if someone has a parts cluster that you can get a good odometer from

Thanks for pointers. Just to clarify I wasn’t going to try to glue the odometer. Just the metal wheel on the tenths wheel. I was afraid glue wouldn’t work but had to ask.
I can get the clip back in place but it involves denting the speedometer face plate (the large black background for the red speed indicator).
