Tricon, you seem to know a lot about shocks. I’m sure you looked at Fox’s 2.0 Performance Series Stabalizer ATS. What are your thoughts on this? My truck is not a daily driver. It’s used to tow my 11k toy hauler and do a lot of off roading on rocky and rutted mountain roads. Thanks for your input
Those look pretty awesome, it's a through stabilizer so it won't push in one direction and it's adjustable so you can choose how much resistance you want. I think that one is probably the single best option out there performance wise, but it's pretty spendy, I think it was around $450 if I remember right?
Installed my Fox SS this morning. I was a little skeptical about the improvement claims of others but I have to admit, it definitely improved things and was worth the money.
Thanks for all the good reports guys. I just ordered mine it'll be here next week. Interested to see how it drives after installing it. My truck suspension is totally stock.
Yep, pitman arm puller is the hot ticket for this job. If you don't have one or can't borrow one, many auto parts stores will let you rent one for free with a deposit.
I rented a pickle fork from Autozone and after 4 wacks of it with the hammer, the stock stabilizer popped right out. After installing the new stabilizer I was already back at Autozone in 30 minutes returning the fork..
I had a hard time using a pitman arm puller...it actually snapped the puller..so i ended up getting a pickle fork and with a few hard hits it popped right off.
I don't think you will be disappointed. I installed the fox 2.0 IFP.....and it's way better.
Also lowered air pressure front cold 55, rear cold 72 psi
between the two it is much improved
It was worth the cost no doubts here

Awesome! I run 55 psi all the way around when un-loaded, and have fox 2.0 on all corners as well.
I just ordered Fox Performance series Stabilizer ATS 983-02-118. Yes, it's spendy but my truck is worth it. I'll report back when I get it installed. I had to email fox to make sure it installs in the factory location prior to ordering and it does. I agree with Tricon that this location is the best for taming any feedback to the driver because its dampening affect is just prior to the steering box. Fox claims that this unit will give you the dampening affect of a twin stabalizer set up in one unit. I don't drive the truck that much (5k in 13 months) so I may not be able to tell how much difference it's actually making.
