Tachometer not working
I just recently purchased a 97 Mazda B4000 extra cab 4 x 4 5 speed with 109 K on it. So far I like the truck, but there are a few things that aren't working. When I bought it the tachometer and gas gauge were not working. I went through and checked all the fuses but to no avail. Has any one had any similar problems? Do you think the tachometer and gas gauge problems are related? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I also had the problem with the A/C only working in the Max mode. My problem was the accuator motor was broken, I pulled it and bought a new one for $53.00 and within 10 minutes it was good as new. Thanks for all the info you provide it sure is great!!!!

Tachometer not working
i would have to say your sending units are most likely bad on the gas guage and tach. it will envolve pulling your gas tank, which aint the funnest thing to do. but i dont think they are related. its not like a electric guage cluster, there all individual. best of luck
