Hi, I am currently driving and maintaining a '96 Ranger XLT, 6.0. I bought it after totaling a '92 towing a 5th wheel and a '94, which my daughter took on a joy ride. I neglected to get towing capabilities on this one. We mostly wanted it for hauling horse paraphernalia and not towing, anyway. Also, at the time, we didn't seem to be able to hang onto one without totaling it for more than 2 years, and wondered if our luck would hold for longer with this one. Obviously, it has!
It has a York PI Load LOK bed liner on it that I need to sell or keep, as I am going to put a camper shell on it and outfit it for lite camping (lunch and potty breaks) when traveling. So will be asking for advice on that.
I want to get a new trailer, but want one larger than 2700 lbs (maximum tow rating for this Ranger) and am looking at the Escape (rated to tow 5000 lbs with tow package). I guess I'll need advice with that purchase as well.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to give much advice to anyone else. My Ranger has been a dream for most of it's life and is only now starting to need bandaging.

Hi and welcome to FTE Wendsong.
I`ve had good luck with all of my Ranger trucks, the first was a 1984 reg cab and my last was a 98 Super Cab. There`s lot of Ranger info on FTE.
Don`t forget to check out your local state chapter: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum163/
