Rim headlights
By default, they are the Daytime Running Lights (DRL). When you start the truck they'll stay off until you put it into gear, and remain on until you put it back into park. If you have the LEDs and they don't seem like they're on, find a store window front that you can use like a mirror and put the truck in gear. (or - though I advise against it - put it in gear and get hard on the E-brake and get out and look. Or, just have someone else look)
They should be on full brightness during the day with the headlights in off or auto, and half-bright at night with the headlights on or auto.
ForScan has some options to turn them off, but unless you have modified it they should come on by default.
