I have my 460 at a motor shop being worked on its getting a mild build, and the shop can only find stock cast replacement pistons of 8.0 to1 compression at $25 a piston or a hyperuetic for 8.7 to 1 at 125 dollars more per set. He told me that TRW has gone out of business, so i need to find a set of cast or forged pistons to raise my compression to around 9 to 1, for closer to $30 so i can afford this can any body help me out here i have to take the connecting rods done there tomorrow.
thanks anyways guys but ive decided to go with stock replacements to save money and the fact that for what im doing with the motor higher compression doesnt seem necesary.

Awwww... Higher compression is ALWAYS neccessary!!
i always thought that more compression would be better too, but i was ressntly told that for truck& tractor pulling that unless u have something like an NTPA truck it aint necessary if u wanna run pump gas while at a pull with todays gas it is possible to predetonate, which is why industrial gas truck run low compression, anyways at this point i dont have much money left so stock replacement pistons were used to save money and future trouble.
