I've been reading alot about EGT gauges and am thinking about installing one. Can anyone tell me how much they are, how to install them, and what level of difficulty it will be to install one in my 2003 PS 7.3L?
You could spend anywhere from 100 to 200 dollars. It just depends on what type of gauge head and themocouple and mount you go with. It shouldn't be to hard to install one on a 2003 either. Only installed one on a 2002. Shouldn't be that much difference.
I've got a combo boost/egt gauge with clamp-on thermocouple from Westach. I paid about $120 for everything 1 1/2 years ago. The clamp-on thermocouple is the easiest to install. You can see everything in my pics.
I was looking at your pics, where did u get your Hitch cover at?? I have one similar to yours, but not with the piston on it, could you let me know. Thanks.
I got the hitch cover from www.powerstrokedieselstuff.com. I just looked at the site and now they are selling a plastic cover for $7.99. Mine is cast and cost over $30.

It's a simple no frills unit. Turn on the switch and rotate the **** to increase rpm. www.concepttechnology.com. Go to the automotive diagnostic section of the site.
