Cat converters?
was doing some work on my exaust and seen my cats are in backwards ,,both of them ..im sure this is not good . Im going to fix it ,but can this have hurt my engine ?

Backwards? Do they actually have some sort of markings for flow? At any rate, I wasn't aware that a cat had a flow direction since all they are is a superheater for exhaust gases. Shows what I know

That's a new ont to me....Seen plenty of mufflers with flow arrows on them but I don't recall ever seeing a cat with them.If they are actually designed to flow only one way the worst I can see is causing a restriction in the exhaust at that point.Chances are you would have noticed this as a problem a while back.Clogged cats cause a loss of power and possibly overheating.Strange stuff.

i know the aftermarket cat's .. like catco cats have an arrow for flow direction. not sure why it matters .. differnet parts are supposed to work specifically on different emmisions with different catalyst plates ... some are two stage and some are three .. not sure what being in backwords would cause .. but i am guessing they are aftermarket to have arrows.
