I have a 17 F250 Super Cab/Long Bed, 6.2L, RWD with no modifications to the suspension running Continental LT 275/65 R18's. Currently the tire psi is set from the dealer at 60psi in front and 70 at the rear. Can I safely lower the tire psi to improve handling and ride characteristics. With the pressures as it currently is, the rear of the truck has a tendency to bounce around during rougher sections of the road almost like its a bit loose as any nascar driver would say. I don't tow a lot and able to bring the pressures back when needed to tow and or haul. I am comfortable with adjusting the monitors through FORSCAN. Is this a safe thing to do and what would be a good recommendation for tire pressures? Also if I adjust the pressure monitors will I need to readjust them when I pressure up or are they just a low pressure monitor? Thanks
