I cannot say for sure, but it is a safe bet that if there are newer/updated versions that RiffRaff is selling them. He is pretty quick to reply if you wanted to ask him and make sure. If you do, post up the response for others to read for years to come.
I got new injectors 14 months ago cuz the truck was running so bad... truck ran better.. but now I'm 2nd guessing that it may have just been the uvch.
I may have had just one stuck injector. But...now I KNOW the injectors are fresh and ready to last a long time- probably for much, if not all of the time I have her.

Can anyone justify the two piece design that does nothing that I can see but increase the possible failure points?
Poor engineering from the beginning. Continues to be poor in current iteration.
Supposedly the newer 2 piece UVCH's are improved and no longer require the 50 cent mod, but I am not 100% on that.
In addition, there was a post a few weeks back with detailed information on the OEM 2 piece vs Dorman 1 piece UVCH. It was determined that the OEM had thicker wire and larger pins for better continuity. I cannot remember who it was that posted the information.
Two piece means that the wires on the inside of the VC have a connector on them and there are two plugs on the VC gasket, one for the main wiring harness then one for the UVCH. One piece has the UVCH permanently attached to the VC gasket, eliminating the possibility of it falling apart under there. And, IIRC there was a statement to the effect that Dorman used aluminum wire instead of copper.
The Dorman 1 piece is pictured below. You can see where the wires that go to the injectors and GP's are permanently attached to the connector, which goes under the edge of the valve cover and out to the OEM harness. The 2 piece by Ford is just that. The gasket is 1 part, then the wires under the cover is another part.
Again, the 2 piece is a more complex design, but is said to be much better in quality of materials and connections. The original design would allow for the connectors to slip out a bit causing problems with the injectors, but the new design has since eliminated that issue.
