Some questions:
I have the truck you most know and always Ive wanted a CCSB because the family is growing up. I want to conserve the front, drive train, short box and most of the interior in the front with the cluster, gauges, etc, etc of my actual truck, I only need the extra room The CC. In unterstand that I have to modify in some grade length of the chassis, brake lines, exhaust, etc..
Im thinking to buy a donor truck F350 1996, standard, 7.3 XL 2wd. CCLB.
With that in mind the questions are:
1.- How difficult is to swap the EC for the CC? .
2.- The cabs (CC en EC) are the same if is standard or manual?
3.- What models could be ok for the swap.?
4.- Any tips or trick to do this?
My take on this, about anything is possible with enough time and money. I think you would be better off finding a SB Crewcab, and selling your truck. That said, the truck cabs with manual or auto are the same, with the exception of the tunnel pan over the trannys, and they can be switched between the two. And all 1992-1996 F150, 250 350 have the same cab, and the 1997 F250HD and F350 are too. Your biggest challenge would be stretching the frame, and making sure it is straight, and strong. It can be done, but not by an average person.
You might be better off switching the parts you want to keep on to the CC, putting the parts you pulled off the CC on your current truck, and selling your current truck

Yes, that was my first thougths, but here in Mexico its very difficult to get a GOOD truck like ours and I know how is my actual truck and I wouldnt like to start another NEW PROJECT. In the other hand buying a truck in USA is very expensive for me because the difference between divisas and after buying it I have to IMPORT to my country an pay MORE.

Thanks for your input.
You never know.... Texas is the promised land for OBS 7.3s... If you find one for a steal, it would probably be the same overall price as if you found a good one in Mexico.
You're about a day's drive from the border, right José? Might be worth a trip, and +1 above, it would probably be worth the import duty, etc., to get a clean CC truck from Texas.
Remember, your SuperCab short bed is the most rare cab/bed combination they made back then, so it will should have a pretty good market value if you preserve it as is. I reckon some OBS purists would shriek at hearing of an SCSB going "under the knife".
Hmm, maybe you could advertise for a trade. If little or no money changes hands in such a trade, I wonder how they'd handle the import fees/duties.

oK I have to agree with both of you, and yes Im about a day´s drive from the border to Texas. Im going to check if I can import a truck like those, because I have heard that only recent models IDK. and the if so, the cost of fees/duties. The trade is also a good idea but it has to be in USA and again the fees/duties in both ways, because my truck is now "mexican".
Here in my country there are a lot of OBS SCSB but gassers
