Loud squealing

anyone know what is causing this squeal? New pulleys, reconditioned turbo both done after this squeal started. can't pinpoint where it's coming from but it's really getting on my nerves. hopefully this link to my you tube of the sound works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB6K...ature=youtu.be

So far have checked running without the belt to eliminate possible pulley issue. checked degas bottle. check out the turbo and no apparent issues with that. checked intake of possible leaks. checked heat shield on turbo.

Pop the cap on the degass bottle as see if it goes away.

You could Pull the belt loose and run the engine for a minute... If the sound goes away, you'll know it was something in the belt drive. If the sound is still there, it's not an issue in the belt drive arrangement .

Have tried it. no good. sounds like coming from the rear of the engine but hard to tell for sure. the turbo and bearing in it are all good so not from that either.

It might help if you listed all the things you did check so we’re not playing pin the tail on the donkey.

Check your up pipes for a crack around the flex sections. Soot is a sign of an exhaust leak. That might be another thing that squeals.

Sure sounds like turbo noise to me.
This happened after the turbo rebuild, correct? I don't think it's by chance the noise started after that.
Does it happen to have a 10 vane on the exhaust side?

On a side note, nobody would advise running the oil filter you are using.

The noise was going on before the turbo was recon'd. What oil filter are you referring to? I use only a ford OEM filter or are you refering to the coolant filter kit i show on my truck. if it's that it's to filter the coolant of debris. when the oil cooler went a few years ago i put it on to filter out the oil that had gotten into the coolant.
as far as vanes in the turbo, I'm not sure. stock for 04'.

My mistake, they way I read it was noise started after the work.

That oil filter cap doesn't look OEM to me, maybe it's the angle of the camera, looks like the taller NAPA or similar cap.

Then that’s a real problem because that’s a tall cap used with aftermarket filters and putting a Motorcraft or Racor filter with that cap won’t be filtering correctly.
