I am looking for a front hitch mount for a 1990 E350. The normal Reese and Curt hitches seem to only be for the 4th Generation Econoline's and I have a 3rd Generation that I'd like to mount the hitch receiver onto.
Is the frame/bolt pattern that different between generations? Will a front hitch receiver for an F Series truck from that same year fit?
If anyone has a lead on a front hitch that will fit my 1990 E350, I'd much appreciate getting pointed in the right direction.
Sincerely,
Noah

Get the universal type. The tube telescopes to whatever width you need. I remove the front bumper and get access to the inside of the frame tube to bolt it through the frame. A little more work, but it makes a solid mount. I picked mine up on Craigs list. I have them on all 3 of my E 350's and an 1 1/4 version on the front of my suburban.Surf fisherman all use them. I use them to move trailers into tight spaces. Also works wonders for putting a boat into and out of the water. Keeps the rear drive wheels on dry ramp.
I haven't done it (yet), but I've read that the frame spacing is the same front and back, so if you're willing to drill your own holes you can use one that's made for the back. I purchased one off CL for $25 to try it, but haven't gotten around to it yet (waiting on warmer weather... and available time). You may want to do some investigation to confirm before going that route.
