So, as I've been impatiently waiting, bugging Ford chat on a daily basis, they recently advised me the no longer will do status updates using dealer codes and order numbers.
Anyone else run into this? Is there a work around? It's been 4 weeks since I placed my order and no Vin, ETA, etc.

I was actually banned from Chat for about a week for "excessive use".
That's hilarious!
OP - I found the dealer inventory manager was the only useful source of information. I emailed him once per week (Friday I think) for the last few weeks. Waiting sucks.
If you bugged me every day about it, Id most likely do the same thing. Look, if you don't have a VIN most likely it is still unscheduled. They (Ford) doesnt schedule trucks everyday. They (Ford) releases a scheduled list every Thursday that will have the up and coming vehicles on it. So stop bugging them every day and just try it each Thursday around noon until you get a build date and possibly a VIN at that time. And your dealer will have the same info that chat has, so calling him more than once a week will defiantly get on his bad side.
I couldn't agree more, i'm going to start using a false name each time!!! I HATE ordering for this reason, I just couldn't find the right deal without doing it this way.
come to think of it all I have to do anymore is give my name and they say they don't do that anymore lol.
I'm new to this whole thing.. what exactly is "Ford Chat"? I ordered a 2018 F250 a few weeks ago and have only heard of "cotus"
Once you have your VIN you can go poke around the Ford website (start building a truck or something) and eventually they'll ask if you want to chat. At that point you can inquire as to the status of your order by supplying the VIN. It's more of a way to pass the time than a useful source of info. I think COTUS is supposed to be good for F250. My F350 was not trackable via COTUS so I really have no clue what you can see there.
