2014 Front left cv shaft

2014 Front left cv shaft
Long story short I was changing out the front bearing and ended up getting the retaining nut that hold the end of the cv through the bearing broken off.
I did a quick search but do not see anything specific about getting the driver side axle out. Is it just a spring retainer that will pop out or do I need to dig into the differential and remove a clip?
