Is it possible to add electronic folding mirrors? My truck is an XL with STX package, regular cab, eight foot bed, 6.2. It has the heated mirrors with electronic adjustment. Of all the features my friend's Lariat has, the electronic folding mirrors would be the only one I desire. I'm wondering if it is possible to add this feature, and if so at what cost and difficulty? I had one of my power telescope / fold mirrors fail on my 2017 dually. It did have the blind spot warning light in the mirror, but no 360 camera...the dealer replaced under warranty but told me the cost of the mirror was over $1000.
If you did the mod, you'd also need a new power window bezel which has the buttons for the power telescope and power fold. Also, no truck was ever equipped with power telescope / fold mirrors without having the side mirror spot lamps. This would also require a new trim piece around your left-most HVAC vent. This is assuming you have all the harnesses in place to support these features as well. Anything is possible, but sometimes it takes more money than we'd like to spend.
