I know there are a few users here that source info from ALLDATAdiy.com, wanting some feedback as to how good the info is, are there good schematics, etc ad naseum
Is it as good as a model specific shop manual?
Close second?
I need to do the oil pan gasket and oil pump on my Yukon, but I'm also hoping it will come in handy for the other vehicles that I have the pleasure of wrenching on with two teens driving right now, and the ability to add another vehicle for not much more seems like a nice feature I see listed.
I've carried a DIY membership on my Jeep for many years now. Seems like it was always expired when I needed it, but I guess that's good since it means I didn't need it very often.
I liked it because it was factual, Jeep boards seemed to offer more of a "goodundtight" solution for everything rather than like here were you can get very detailed and reliable tech information quickly. Maybe I'm just on the wrong Jeep forums or don't participate enough but when that car needs work I want it done correctly yesterday, and AllDataDIY was accurate info right when I needed it.
Thanks guys, good to know. Bryan I remember you and the OP mentioned a spec for something here a few days ago on that HPOP backlash issue so I figured it was a pretty good platform.
I know the stuff here is free, but I've had some trouble getting real good info on the Yukon. Probably because I am not a member of any forums for that platform, and I don't want a "gooduntight" job on the oil pan gasket and pump, too much stuff has to come off underneath for a redo. I hate working on my back and sometimes having the info right there is quicker than surfing three different message boards for the right info.
I’ve got discs for Ford, Lincoln and Acura and that’s what I do. They all give options to print to pdf and then I use one of my Adobe programs to print them out. Sometimes I take pdf pages, load them into photoshop, then use that in a posting. There are other times I take a screen print then embed it into something for print or image.
Brand new owner, but I purchased it for the interior space, towing capability of the V10, and the long range with the huge fuel tank. Plus I have always had great luck with Ford Trucks.
