Hey guys having trouble I have 2004 expedition that won't start it's cranking over just fine just won't fire fule pump is good and just changed plugs and checked one for spark but still no start any ideas ?
I have fuEl to rail and pressure I can hear pump running as well . I tried starter fluid and still nothing I replaced the plugs and nothing I tested crank sensor and belive it's good no rpm when starting but I'm getting voltage out of sensor as well as voltage to coils and fuel injectors. I did find that I have a bad head gasket will that cuase a no start and as far as theft light I did that check and it goes off during start thanks for any advice .

Not sure how you tested the crank sensor?
Getting voltage to the coils and injectors is normal.
They should be hot when ever the key is on.
Does the check engine light turn on with key in the “ON” position?
And does the check engine light turn off while the engine is being cranked?
(If the light turns off while cranking, the PCM is seeing a signal from the CKP sensor. If the PCM doesn’t see the CKP sensor signal it doesn’t know the engine is being cranked, so it won’t engage the fuel pump and won’t start grounding the ignition and injector circuits to cause them to function.)

Reason: Attempt to clean up my explanations.
Would be nice to know the fuel pressure in PSI not just saying you have pressure
Test the following fuses for input and output voltage Don't just pull a fuse and say it looks good. I bet if you look at your expy you will say it looks good If that's the case then why doesn't it start Need to test things so get voltage readings
Fuse #38, #34, #33, #32 and #102 You do not need to pull the fuses to test for voltage You do need the key in the run position
Ok so check engine light stays on during cranking . As for fuel pressure I do not have a gage to check that I will check voltage to fuses as I just cranked over to check engine light it started rough and shut off if that helps.

Okay. Sounds like the CKP is sort of working. And the fact it tried to start tells me the ignition is kind of working. So I would like to see what the fuel pressure is, also.
Does it have a replaceable fuel filter and if so, has it ever been changed?
The fuel filter has not been changed in the three years I had it in know I know shame on me . I have replaced the fuel pump that's a year old maybe year and half I am starting to think it's the ckp I tested the out put of the sensor and showed 2 volts and from what I read it should be .5 -1 volt but also read that it's a two wire sensor but mine has three one bare I assume ground so my checking could wrong . I'm no mechanic by any means I think I should replace the ckp and see what happens what you think
If the check engine light turns off while cranking, the CKP is working.
If it started rough, the ignition is working.
Get a fuel pressure gauge on it. Get the loaner gauge from your parts store.
No sense hanging parts on it if fuel supply is the issue.
If fuel pressure is low, THEN you can worry about voltages/powers/grounds/filters/etc.
If fuel pressure is good, look else where.
Ok guys update on truck. This morning I decided to check the iac and decided to try a trick I found on you tube and truck started I feather gas a min and itshe running. Have a weird smell coming from tail pipe tho think it's coolant. Took to get codes checked and here is what came up.
P0171
P0455
P0457
P0174
P0354
P2196
P2197
P2198
P0302.
Ok that's alot and a few areasons contradicting each other so not sure where to start. Oh and I noticed that the hose to pvc valve is melted and leaking air . So I'm going to fix that and clean throttle body and iac. And post back. And any ideas on other codes let me know. Oh and the 455 and 457 I know the issue their
