Rancho Rebate (NOT!) UPDATE
I made 7 calls to the rebate center, emailed Matt (the Rancho Rep who is on here) twice, emailed twice the corporate office of Tenneco who owns Rancho and Monroe and several other auto parts companies, and made a claim with the BBB. Now since the BBB was contacted about 2 weeks ago, I am thinking that maybe they were the final push needed to get my rebate.
My disappointment in all of this is that the company would not respond to my reasonable requests for an answer as to where and when I would receive my rebate. Two times, the rebate center told me that my request was sent to the accounting manager and that they would contact me within 10 days. Nobody ever contacted me! My emails to corporate also went unanswered.
While I am happy to finally have my rebate, I still want to spread the word of my bad experience with Tenneco and to advise others to really consider if the rebate promise is worth buying Rancho shocks or any other Tenneco product. I know I will never purchase another Tenneco product. By the way, Matt did respond to me and I am greatful to him for trying to help.
By the way, I just noticed that with the debt card I received, it states that if there is still a balance on the card after 6 months that there will be a $3 per month service fee each month a balance remains.
Thank you for reading this and good luck with your rebates.
I stopped doing rebates years ago..
your treatment is similar..
as the company that offers the rebate . is NOT the company that handles the rebates.
my opinion.
HP never sent me the 100 dollar rebate.. over 5 years ago.
It was not only a GREAT marketing tool. But it was FREE MONEY,
People who study money will know what it mean..” money is Very expensive
a lot of times I would hear horror stories like this......
If a company offers me a REBATE I get suspicious.......
My money in my accounts gains my interest.
my money in your account gains your interest.
not a lot of money right?
imgane what 3.5 million over 9 months can get ya!!!
