Back again, just noticed something the other day & wondered what it was. No infernalnet, on my phone. Will TRY TO post pics.! Okay, don't see how to here. Best I can describe it is it LOOKS LIKE a 110 volt socket & VCR sockets (one red & one yellow), said SOMETHING about 'game'? Does that mean I DO have 110 there? If so, any idea where they'd hide the convertor for 12V - 110V? IF I recall correctly, it's an 'Elk' conversion. '02 E-150.

looks like a setup to connect(and power) a video game system to a tv (do you have a tv onboard?) so yeah i think you have a small 110volt supply) the inverter for that would be small (they have ones that are maybe 2inches square)
If you have a multimeter (volt-ohmmeter), just stick the probes into your outlets and see what you have. Put it on AC volts if testing the plug. You can buy little inverters for $10 so it doesn't take a big one. Guessing the limit is gonna be about 100 watts or so (enough to charge a laptop). We had some friends take a blender (500 watts or something) to a football game thinking they were gonna make frozen margaritas using a car outlet....I told them there was no way it would work and it didn't
Our last '02 conversion had an 8" or so drop down LCD tv in the ceiling. Useless. The one time we watched it was during a storm and power outage in our house where I could get basic TV news reports while we sat in the van with the AC on. Most conversion stuff is put on to look good on a spec sheet with little thought given to real usage.
My '96 Savana had a 12" CRT TV and VCP (player, not recorder) in a floor console and I remember driving my son and a bud down to Space Camp in Alabama while they watched the movie Top Gun about 5 times...
Thanks George, kinda got infernalnet back. Something's still not right, but I SHOULD be able to post pics. here now, Talked to my buddy & he said he THINKS the switch was for that socket, Told me there IS a TV in the ceiling (small fold up type).
Well here is some info I dug up. that panel with the 120v socket is made or sold by a company called Waldoch. They might have some info. Waldoch.com 1-800-878-8635 https://waldoch.com/store/conversion...onics.html?p=2
This is a bit newer looking part but almost the same.
Waldoch Universal AV Game Prep For Conversion Vans NP110-008

I still haven't found any information as to where the inverter would be. I would think the inverter is a separate part and the game plate is wired to the inverter. you should have a access panel of fuse box somewhere near that area. My GMC van had a hinged access door on the side wall below the side window between the drivers seat and the left center row seat covering the fuse box. There was also a small cloth storage pocket with a screwed on wood frame which was also a access panel for more electronics and I think the PCM for the van.
The inverter is built into the panel. It's only 150 watts, so it's not very big. This is basically the equivalent of one of those inverters that plugs into a cigarette lighter.
Thanks everybody. My first conversion van & learning "What's this?". Figure it's better to ask somebody instead of just guessing & breaking something. I keep finding new stuff/things all the time!
