Help clutch rod bushing replacement
I have the bushing kit to replace the bushings on the transverse rod that the clutch and brake pedals pivot on. However, I can't figure out how to get the rod out of the mounting bracket.
I can see the nut holding everything together by the gas pedal side. What I can't see is how to get to the nut or whatever is holding the clutch pedal on. If it's just a long bolt/shaft then I don't see that there is enough room to slide it out on the clutch side. It looks like it has to come out on the gas pedal side. To do so one would need to remove whatever is holding the clutch pedal on. Correct? If correct then how?
If I opt for removing the entire bracket I can see six bolts holding the bracket to the firewall. Four on the firewall and two on the top. Is there anything else? Do I need to disconnect the steering column and move it?
