Looks like i will be going with SD springs.

When i bought this truck back in 06 thre PO had instaled some sort of lift. The track bar bracket on the axel was a dead give away. Its moved the track bar up about 2.5 inches or so. And there is an added leaf spring directly under the stock spring pack.
Im running 35" tires and have been since i bought the truck.

Question now is what leveling kit will i need to maintain clearance over the 35s.

I know the xcodes will lift is some but not enough to clear 35s.

So x codes and a 2.5" 3" or 3.5"

Also any recommendations on brand ?
So, look at my truck in the first couple of posts, that's X code in front no blocks, and 2" factory block with a 3:"block stacked on top of factory rear springs. That rake is what you want if you tow a camper. Those tires are 33's. 35;'s would fit I'd wanted but then it wouldn't fit in my carport. But you should have no issue with 35's.

Broke a front leaf spring many years back and replaced with OEM (both sides). 6 years later I broke another front leaf spring and switched to ATS. Even with hardware and shipping it was cheaper than buying OEM from my local dealership. I've been very happy with my ATS springs and bought a set for the rear that are sitting in my garage begging to be installed. Junior was great to work with and helped me get exactly what I was looking for.

I hope he gave you a discount for the plug. A spring is a spring. You may have bought from ATS but you got the same spring everyone else sells and it's made by some guy named Jose or Juan in Mexico.

I didn't get a discount (didn't even know about the FTE discount until reading his signature in this thread) but I did make a special request and he offered to assemble it at no extra cost before strapping them to a pallet and shipping them off.

It may be true that most springs come from the same place (like fuel and shock absorbers) but the OEM ones I bought look like they were manufactured in 1980 and sitting on a shelf since then. I'm not sure what happened but I don't think I should have had a failure that soon. At least the ATS springs looked like they were younger than my kids. I've only had them on for a couple of years so time will tell. I do like the ride better though and they don't squeak.

I'd also rather give my business to someone who wants to provide a good product instead of a guy looking up a part number and could care less if I step over to the cashier and pull out my checkbook or it goes back on the shelf. Just my .02

To address brian; good customer service is a good thing I was just pointing out the fact that the Springs are all made in the same place.

I'm not sure what the last guy was talking about when he said that's helpful. I don't know any other way to put things but to be direct, if that offends you, oh well. Maybe you should make a sign and join a SJW org and do some marches.

I'll explain it to you but I don't think you'll get it. First off you are wrong, that 43-818 spring is not a Ford X code spring, it is a lighter duty aftermarket substitute but your mind is already closed on that. Second you made a snide comment asking if Brian got a discount for his 'plug' for ATS Spring who, BTW, is a vendor who several of us on here have patronized with 100% satisfaction thus far. They're on the east coast and they have shipped their springs as far as AK. Dan's sarcastic comment was spot on, your snide comment was unnecessary, uncalled for an unhelpful in any way.

OK so i spoke with Junior over the phone last week. He was indeed very helpful. Customer service and explanation on a product goes a very long way in my book.
So yes i do understand the weight differences in the 43-818 and the true xcode. Im not loading down the front of my truck with a 800lb ranch hand or anything like that.
He stated the 43-818 will give a good factory ride ( which ive read till my eyes burn ) that every one seems really happy with. Will add an inch to inch and a half more clearance over stk springs. HE also mentioned having a high arch 43-818. which will do 2 to 2.5 inches over stock with an additional 5/8 pad for them to sit on. The price he gave me via phone was a great deal too.
Once i order my injectors thats next on the list.
Needless to say he was very helpful getting me hooked up with what i was loooking for.

Yeah, you're.entitled.to your opinion no matter how sycophantic and delusional it may be. X code smexx code, ridiculousness.

The point being M.A.X...is this, your little shallow minded post about all springs being made in Mexico, or whatever country, really wasn't helpful to the OP. And then you continue on with Mark. Grow up.

FTE is a pretty helpful place. Keep that in mind when YOU want help on an issue.

Mind telling me how you contributed to this post with any useful information, except to troll my response? He might've wanted to know where the component was built. That might be "helpful" to him, it would to me.
You didn't make one single, minute contribution to this post except to bash a person who did give useful information. So keep your speeches for your shallow library of condescending comebacks.
Is it your habit to troll posts to force your point of nonsensical gibberish on people actually trying to give useful information, or are you so lonely in your little world you need a conversation to validate your existence?
Whichever it is I'd appreciate you not lecturing me on the aspects of what's helpful in a forum.
When you tell people to grow up that tells me you need to point the finger your direction too.
