Front Door Speaker Upgrade Question

Hi, everyone. I just bought an ‘06 F350 XL that has the AM/FM radio and two speakers in the front doors. I’m going to replace the head unit and add speakers in the rear doors. After looking at the Crutchfield site, I will probably use speakers that cost $40-$50 per pair. At this price point, would it be worth the extra cost and time to replace the stock front door speakers as well? I’m new to working on car audio so I don’t know how good the factory speakers are compared to lower-end aftermarket. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I'm no expert, but i just changed out the speakers in my 06 f350. The time to do the front is about 5 minutes per door if you have all the tools handy when you start. I also am not a fan of cheap (off brand) speakers. Stereo shops can set you up with some nice speakers for not too much more, my rockford fosgates cost about $100/pr iirc.

Thanks! I'm thinking about moving the factory front speakers to the rear; that way I'll only have to buy one new pair, and can spend more per speaker to get some nice ones for the front.
