SD to MAF with e4od specific question

So, my 92 f150, 5.0, e4od, 2wd is getting mass air. my eyes are starting to hurt from so much knowledge on the manual and a9L mustang ecm that overloads any and all e4od knowledge. I have now aquired a mass air sensor, the whole intake, and a HUG2 ecm.

My question is, will this HUG2 ecm work with the e4od? and also is this diagram correct for a HUG2 ecm for the injectors?

My other question is, is this a correct pinout for what i am doing of the wiring that will need to be moved?

Not doing any mustang ecm swaps, no standalone trans controllers, but just info on what i have and to determine if my diagrams are correct for this. ecm was from a 95 150 i believe

The way I read it, you will obviously have to re-pin the injection harness... And move ss1 and ss2 pins, but that looks to be the only difference between the SD and maf computers that I can see.

Not according to "old Ford EFI"

It runs a 4R70W not E4OD.

I bought a HUG2 thinking it did myself.

So hug2 is 4r70w. My phone is giving me grief and will not allow me to visit long forum posts that would likely have my answer, so i have to ask, what ecm code can i run? I know Bi00, are there others that i can run and operate correctly? Sorry to ask even though i know its somewhere here, my phone will not let me access it anf the laptop is not working at all.

Thanks. Only cause I'd been burned myself.

But I like to think that's why we do this.

I don't know. I would think you'd use the earliest version available which would be a 94, HOG0 & wire to that schematic.

Are the 92/94 E4ODs wired the same?

I've been collecting parts & I have more/less got my drive train ready to do the swap.

That was the winter intention, but life/things haven't panned out so far.

I have a computer which was ID'd as a "MUT1"

I picked up the HUG ECM without looking at the door trans code & was keeping it for a trade item.

So mut1 is usable in a 92 with the e4od going to mass air? What would be my better chances, that or the BI00 that people use from the CA emission trucks? Or is there another even better we havent said? I know someone wrote 5 or 6 ecm's to use but i cant find it again

MUT1 is not in that list (above), but I pulled it from a "for sure" 1994 5.0/E4OD truck & a FTE member decoded it's "calibration code".

That list is not (I'm relatively sure) the end all of lists for Mass air computers, but I don't know all the batch/catch codes that are.

Paul or Randy would have to guide you on a preferable code that would match closest your 92 wiring.

I would guess HOG0, but I think there is a HOG1 too, but I don't know if it is a 95 ECM which has a small difference.

Well lets hope they chime in here shortly, the ecm was free, and im 20$ in for the maf, wiring that i have, and the whole intake. All for 20 bucks lol. If i can see what ecm i need i have about 5 JY near me that still have these trucks. Getting my injector connectors too as we speak im looking around for best price and quality.

Oooh baby thats a good looking list if you ask me! I will try and find whatever i can for this set up! Thank you so very much! Now also, seeing this list, ive heard Lot of vex1, way1, and h0g0. Are those the typical go to? And are they same wiring as what i posted earlier or will i need to continue research?

Whether it's a MAF computer for a 5L or 5.8L the pin-outs are the same. You could extend that to the 7.5L as well.

The previous post with the pin-out applies to all of them for a MAF swap with an E4OD transmission.

The 1994 and later trucks use a different ignition system, but again the pin-outs are the same at the computer. If I were doing a MAF swap I would swap out the Push-Start ignition pieces for CCD. Not sure it is 100% necesary, but something to throw into the mix.

Well going to find snother ecm, wait on my injector connectors, and then ill build me my harness to the injectors and the maf, and then be able to swap it in. Is that all pretty much correct as to thr extent of what i need to do?
