All I find is Forscan Lite when I search the App Store. I only have apple products. Will this app work to stop the double horn honk? I have the OBD 2 reader
You're beat with Apple equipment unless you can run Windows in Boot Camp, so I'm told here.
FORScan Lite is simply a monitor type app where you can view different parameters and reset a check engine light. That can be used with iOS.
All my stuff is Apple also. My solution was to grab a cheap Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 to use for FORScan. Download FORScan direct from their site. Download FORScan
The liability issue is a safety issue. If you leave your vehicle running in the garage, forget, go inside and it runs all night and causes a fire or carbon monoxide poisoning. These trucks are so quiet now, I can see where it can happen. The dealer can enable police mode, they will bring up DPF % Soot on your dash, but they won't do the horn honk, seatbelt chime, ect that we can do on Forscan.
I just got my Forscan and OBDLink MX so these are high on the list. Hoping to start small this weekend.
I'm looking for a solution as well. Ford dealers cannot/will not disable it, and FORScan requires a windows based computer, which I don't have. Anyone in the DFW area willing to help?
Anybody in the San Antonio area do this? does the 4dtech adapter work?
If you're looking for someone to perform the Forscan mod for you in the San Antonia area, you'd probably have better luck asking that in the Forscan thread (link below). https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...readsheet.html
I’m also looking for someone in the Ft. Worth area that would be willing to make a few FORScan changes to my 2019 F250.
I would be more than happy to pay them for their time and trouble.
