Instead of the fuel additive, you can simply add in some Kerosene. If you have straight diesel in your tank, add 25% Kero for temps 0*F and up, below 0*F some go all the way to 50% Kero/Diesel mix.
We've run this in our big rigs for years. Actually in cold regions, your winter blend fuel will already have this done to it. But, sometimes early on,maybe just after Fall we get caught with an early cold front. This is the moment of self blending, but for you and your storage needs, you can simply follow suite.
