Over 800 mustangs & some ford trucks . Votes were by entrants . I do not believe all the mustang owners made it to the far east end of the show field where the trucks were . Parking was rather random w/ a 69 stock restored truck mixed in w/ all the mustangs . The mustangs had 12 of the 24 classes .Truck class was 49 -79 . It took $126 in gas & 426 mi. to find out the "Firstride " was not of their liking . It drew much attention but it was cold w/ a high of 55 & was 46 when we left .No sun shine until 4 pm only for 1/2 hr.
Upon getting back to the trailer in the "trailer parking lot " found some ahole parked right behind it & he also had a car there . So needed to move the trailer to load . What an idiot !
Thanks for the pics, Denny! Too bad about the truck class going the whole way up to 1979! Sorry about the weather. The people in the pics are dressed like it's in the 20's!
That's a nice 49 next to you, but couldn't he find any period correct turnsignals and buy the correct Ford hubcaps? But it is nice.
Thank you - first car-show-**** of the year! What a lot of well-attended cars. Too bad you didn't get some more attention, the truck looks as amazing as ever.
thanks for the pics. from upstate NY, surrounded by snow and ice, it's nice to see the hobby going forward in FL. i'll be getting my truck out for the season in about 4 months.
This show looks like it was sponsored by the Mustang club and how did all those yellow mustangs manage to park together? Really nice two tone panel in the first pic. Thanx for posting
Denny, With all the awards that you have won you should come up for the prestigious Concours d’Elegance of America at the end of July. It is right down the road from us. The nomination form is on the website. Send me a PM if you are interested. I was on the car selection committee for this event in the early 2000s. See how you fare with the "big boys" I think that you should do well in the Post-War American class.
