It may have been talked about but I’m on the road and the search function is not working on my phone. My truck is blowing white smoke at idle. It clears up but what is causing this. It’s the 6.7.
Are you sure it's not steam?
White smoke is usually caused by coolant entering the combustion chamber. Unless you have a cracked block, that's not likely on a new(ish) truck.
When it's very cold outside and the engine/exhaust haven't fully warmed up, white "smoke" is very common during idle. It doesn't come out of the pipe with any real force and quickly dissipates, while actual smoke would accumulate and kind of come out in pulses as the piston(s) with the leak force the gas out.
