Front cover question
Simple question that I'm kinda ashamed to talk about. I broke the front cover installing new timing components and oil pump. I tried to use JB weld to fix it but its puking oil. Like 3 quarts every thousand miles. The question is.. Does a front cover from a 5.4 2v fit on a 6.8 2v. I assume they do because they're basically the same motor with 2 more cylinders but I don't wanna tear it apart and them be different.

if they are the same.. they should have the same part number..
check Ford parts on-line.
or Call local wrecking yard ( junk yard ) they have books on what parts interchange... maybe computer now

Thanks for the quick response. I happened to be at a Barry's you pull it today and pulled one off for like 10 bucks. Ill look to see if it has a part number on it and cross reference it. Thanks.

Well you see it cracked in such a way that it wrapped around the outside edge where the gasket goes and you could see through the crack. The crank gear that came in the kit was too big and when I tightened it down it cracked.
