Got the elm 327 WiFi reader in. How can I get this to hook up to the Forscan lite app on my iPhone. Everytime I try it fails to connect. I know it may have something to do with IP addresses and things of that nature that I just need some listed out directions for. Can someone please help! Thanks in advance! YouTube has been no help.

Forscan and iPhones are not compatible. Try dash boss, depends on the elm adapter you have.

How can I get it to work then?

Send back the ELM adapter and get a new one, it’s faulty. If you want it for iOS, you need to order specifically for that purpose. No knowing the exact model you ordered it could be an iOS incompatibility. Forscan lite will only do monitoring, not Forscan edits, changes to the modules.

all I really want to do is measure oil life percentage on the go. Forscan I’ve seen is easiest way to do that

if you know of another obd app that I can monitor oil life percentage that would be great.
