The weather has been brutal these past few weeks ( I admire those who have a heated shop) so we've been working on the small things that we can work on here in the house ( with the Mrs approval ) but while we were digging out some parts we ran across an old magazine I've had for years. I used it to wire my first truck and thought it would be of interest and bring back some memories for those of us who grew up with very little to build a vehicle but use every trick we could find to get them on the road.
So how many of you remember Bud Lang and his street rod articles?
I remember cutting out ads and reader service cards many a time and circling the codes on them like that Sticker City ad. Back then contacts lists were like gold...kinda forgot those days now that everything you want is at your fingertips with the internet.
When I was in Jr Hi, which would have been between the 67-68 school year and the 69-70 school year we had a shop class every quarter, mechanical drawing, wood, metal, and graphic arts. In graphics arts one year we made silk screens. I made an STP screen that I thought was pretty cool and screened it on my notebook and a few other things.
But of course mine would have been only one color.

Did you know Bud?
He also wrote for other magazines and wrote at least one book if we are talking about the same man who worked for Peterson publishing
